DESCRIPTION:Trumpet player Brian Stock grew up in a musical family as the nephew of Jake Stock\, the leader of the renowned Dixieland group Jake Stock and The Abalone Stompers. Starting trumpet lessons at eight\, Brian played through his school years in Monterey before earning a music degree at San Francisco State. His career includes performing with legends like Tony Bennett\, Ella Fitzgerald\, and Tower of Power\, as well as touring with The California Band and opening for acts like the Doobie Brothers and Loggins and Messina. Returning to Monterey in his thirties\, Brian has become a local fixture\, performing at the Monterey Jazz Festival over ten times and playing with acclaimed bands such as Along Came Betty\, The Latin Jazz Collective\, and Wrockinfoose. \nLive music is complimentary to our guests to enjoy during your visit with us! DESCRIPTION:‘It is not what you play\, but how you play it’ is a familiar aphorism in music. We rarely experience someone who embodies both the virtuosity and the primordial force of musical expression. Chris Lynch is one of those musicians. Multi-instrumentalist\, film composer\, arranger\, producer\, and engineer are just a handful of titles you could pin on Lynch\, though he is foremost a violinist. The violin has been the centerpiece of Chris’ musical story arc since moving to Santa Cruz from Minnesota in the early 2000s. He began scoring films like Code and Response (Austin Peck)\, touring with Marty O’Reilly\, The Brothers Comatose\, and The Shook Twins. DESCRIPTION:Pruney (Thomas Burks) and the Dude (Stephen Pavlik) have been making music together for over a year. Pruney and the Dude play various musical styles\, all based on their combined history. Pruney comes from West Texas\, so he leans a little on the countryside\, yet he grew up listening to the rock music of the 60s\, 70s\, and beyond. The Dude was born and raised in Pittsburgh\, Pa.\, and has been influenced by just about every musical genre\, including classical and jazz.
