DESCRIPTION:Raison d’etre (Thomas Burks & Stephen Pavlik) has been making music together for over a year. They play various musical styles\, all based on their combined history. Thomas comes from West Texas\, so he leans a little on the countryside\, yet he grew up listening to the rock music of the 60s\, 70s\, and beyond. Stephen was born and raised in Pittsburgh\, Pa.\, and has been influenced by just about every musical genre\, including classical and jazz. She was named one of Time Out New York’s Top 10 Funniest Women in NYC\, and once you see her\, you’ll understand why. She’s appeared on Netflix\, Comedy Central\, Nickelodeon\, Oxygen\, and Hulu\, and has written for Netflix\, Hulu\, MTV\, Paramount\, and Comedy Central. Most recently\, she’s brought her comedic chops to RuPaul’s Drag Race (VH1) and Wipeout (TBS). \nSamson Koletkar\, aka Mahatma Moses\, named one of Silicon India’s “10 Indian Comedians Who Found Success in the U.S.\,” has performed at major festivals like SF Sketchfest and Just for Laughs Vancouver\, with features on NPR and NBC. He’s also earned recognition in top competitions\, including the Seattle International Comedy Competition. \nCandy Shaw (née Churilla) began her comedy career studying improv with the Actors Improv Theater in Chapel Hill\, NC\, while also acting in scripted productions.
