Wine Garden Music Series
Greg Brock
Greg Brock, is a musician who gained recognition with his debut EP, which featured consecutive top 20 songs. His track “Rainbow In Your Eyes” reached #1 on Billboard’s “Hot Singles Sales” chart in June 2010, sharing the spotlight with legendary artists like The Rolling Stones, Jimi Hendrix, and Neil Young. His debut single “She” also peaked on the same chart at #1 and reached #3 on Canada’s Top Singles chart. Greg’s passion for music started early in life, influenced by his exposure to music through his older siblings. He taught himself to play guitar and began writing songs during his teens. While in college, he formed a band and caught the attention of a local talent scout, leading to the recording of their first demo. His debut EP was produced by Assen Stoyanov, known for his work with bands like 3 Doors Down and INXS.

Magenta Spreen collaborates with singer-songwriters Kristen Gradwohl (WUWU) and Talmon Owens. Together, they bring dreamy soundscapes, vocal harmonies, storytelling, and mindful melodies.

Monterey Jazz Festival Regional All Stars
Each All-Star Ensemble, featuring talented students from across Monterey County, rehearses twice monthly while working on ensemble skills, including phrasing, blending, improvisation, and rhythmic feel. Venues that have featured our Regional All-Star Ensembles in past seasons include San Jose Jazz Fest, Jazz on Plazz, and, of course, Monterey Jazz Festival!

Kris Angelis
Kris Angelis is a radiant new singer/songwriter living in the city that shares her name. The Los Angeles-based musician writes lyrics that read like poetry (“the rain turned to lace on the first day and the last day that I was a child”) and delivers harmonies imbued with a sense of longing. She names Brandi Carlile, Ray LaMontagne, Hanson, Rufus Wainwright, and David Gray as influences to her acoustic folk-rock sound but adds that everything in her life influences her music.

Jesse DeCarlo Funk Quartet
Jesse DeCarlo is a Monterey native and has been a fixture on the local music scene for many years. He has played guitar and bass with well-known local artists, including Dani Paige, Jim Payne, Al James, Minor Williams, Malinda DeRouen, and more. Jesse will perform a mix of instrumental jazz and funk with a stellar lineup of local performers.

Al James Duo
Singer, guitarist, and composer Al James hails from Seaside, California. His music has been an integral element of his life, and his rootsy, soulful delivery has an eclectic vibe flavored by influences from Jimi Hendrix to Stevie Wonder. His renditions of others and his compositions have a flair and energy of their own . . . reflective, upbeat and innovative. Al’s vocal stylings and dynamism on stage are infectious in appeal and energy.
