SF Comedy Competition: Preliminary Round Two
The 49th San Francisco Comedy Competition is coming to Folktale on September 7. Enjoy wine, food, and big laughs. Catch the next comedy star before they make it big!
Widely considered one of America’s premier comedy events, the annual San Francisco Comedy Competition offers not just a night of laughs but also a stage for tomorrow’s comedy stars. Past participants include Dana Carvey, Ellen DeGeneres, Louis CK, Sinbad, and the legendary Robin Williams.
“Our mission is to search far and wide for comedic diamonds in the rough and help polish them into crown jewels,” says producer Jon Fox with a smile.
This high-energy competition challenges performers to bring their sharpest material to the spotlight, and Folktale Winery is thrilled to host a Sunday afternoon preliminary round matinee on September 7. Each comedian will have just five minutes to impress the judges and audience in hopes of advancing to the semi-finals and eventually the finals.
